Cottage
This border is a mix of perennials, roses and traditional shrubs, giving a succession of beautiful flowers throughout the summer months. In the winter time the old flower heads of the dormant perennials can be left for wildlife or cut back to the ground if you prefer a tidier garden. Some shrubs are also included in this selection to give a framework in winter offering interesting stem colour and form with the ocational evergreen or berrying shrub for added interest. This border does better in the sun, but we have a selection of plants with a similar look, that will work well in semi-shade shade too (perhaps for the border on the otherside of the garden that is in the shadey side.) Climbers include, scented roses, honeysuckle, jasmine and clematis.
